What are we going to look at:

Sonia Delaunay (1885–1979) was a key figure in the Parisian avant-garde and became the European doyenne of abstract art. Throughout the first half of the twentieth century, she celebrated the modern world of movement, technology and urban life, exploring new ideas about colour theory.  Her exploration of the interaction between form and colour to communicate meaning has created a sense of depth and movement throughout her oeuvre.

Sonia Delaunay was a multi-disciplinary abstract artist. In her practice, a sixty-year career, she has explored a wide range of media from paintings, textiles and clothes and  had  innovative collaborations with poets, choreographers and manufacturers, from Diaghilev to Liberty.
