Terms and conditions

By registering your child at My (after school) art club, all parents and carers are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Please read carefully.


The following Terms and Conditions apply to all members and non-member participants in relation to art sessions, art classes and art workshops organised by My (after school) art club.

The term “you” refers to children/parents/carers/guardians and “You” can be singular or plural.

 

General

We intend to rely on the written terms set out in these terms and conditions for the service that we provide to you.

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons or to allow the proper operation of My (after school) art club or changes to within which we consider appropriate.

We will give you reasonable notice in advance of implementing such changes by email where we hold a valid email address. Where the changes are significant we may also choose to text you with the new details which again we require an up to date valid mobile number.

Booking and Payment

. Our art sessions run alongside the academic year.

. A new art project is offered each ½ term.

. An art project can be 5 or 6 weeks long depending on the calendar.

. Bookings will open on the website myafterschoolartclub.com 3 weeks prior to the start of the first session and this date will be communicated to parents/carers through either the school’s newsletter to parents, personal email, newsletters or e-flyers.

. Booking and payment are required in full prior to the start of any new art project.

. Booking and payment are made online through the website myafterschoolartclub.com via the PayPal’s app.

. Customers may also pay by bank transfer, cash or cheque.

 

Once the booking is complete, customers will receive an email of confirmation. Although we try to ensure all children have a place on the art clubs, if a particular club, course or workshop becomes fully booked customers will have the option to be placed on a waiting list.

Upon the 1st registration and in order to comply with heath and safeguarding regulations My (after school) art club will asked for a current email address, an emergency contact phone number and information on any allergies, medical conditions and/or special educational needs of the child attending the art club, course or workshop. It is the duty of the parents/guardians to keep My (after school art) club up to date with any changes.

Cancellations, credits and Refunds

. After booking and payment has been made the customer has a cooling off period of 7 working days to make a cancellation if they so wish in accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

. A full refund will be provided if the request is made within 7 days of the initial booking. If a cancellation is made during the project time-frame, then no refund is given however a credit might be issued.

. Our tutors/teachers will try their best to catch up with the child who miss a session so that his or her art work is completed to the best standard possible.

. No refunds for missed sessions will be issued.

. If for any reason a session is cancelled by My (after school) art club, a credit or a refund will be issued.

. If a session is cancelled due to unscheduled venue closures, or if the venue decides to cancel a session, then alternative class options will be given to the customer. No refund or credit will be given.

. In extreme weather conditions we reserve the right to cancel the session at short notice to ensure the safety of all involved in the art session.  Alternative dates will be laid on at a later date to compensate.  No refunds will be given.

 

Trial session

. My (after school) art club offers trial session free of charge (One free session per child).

. Children are welcome to our classes at our discretion.

 

Collections from after school clubs and workshops

It is the parents/guardians responsibility to collect their child from the art club on time. If the parent/guardian wishes for their child to be collected by someone else, then please inform us either by email through the website or by phone or text on 07 581 185 965.

Please sign off your child upon collection.

 

Clothing

My (after school) art club's tutors will do their best to ensure that your child’s clothing is protected from the art materials used, however we accept no responsibility for any damage to your child’s clothing before, during or after any our sessions.

Data

. We will hold your data in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

. We will retain your details given to us electronically or on paper and we will use your data for registration purposes and to send you emails about My (after school) art club. We will not share your data with any other third party.

II. Personal Use Criteria

The following are a list of conditions where My (after school) art club, give individuals permission to link to (or copy) JPEG images and other material at no charge:

  1. You may print a copy of any photograph for personal reference without  further permission.

  2. Students are welcome to download images and incorporate them into school reports, presentations, etc. for free so long as proper credit/citation is given, without my further permission.

  3. Anyone can download images from Desktops / Wallpapers for the express use of displaying them on screen on any personal computer that is not being used for commercial or public viewing purposes.


III. Free Web Usage Criteria

The following conditions define my authorization for use of my image on the Web, free of charge, so long as proper attribution of copyright is given to My (after school) art club and include the e-mail address, welcome@myafterschoolart club.com in said attribution:

  1. You may make LINKS to the images on pages you maintain for yourself for personal, non-commercial use.

  2. If you are preparing FREE online site guides for other photographers, bloggers, and photograph forums, you may make use of these images, BUT ONLY IF YOU ATTRIBUTE THEM AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.


IV. Commercial Use

Those persons who wish to use the photographies found on this site in a commercial fashion must receive written consent from My (after school) art club prior to its commercial use. To obtain consent, interested parties should send an e-mail to welcome@myafter schoolartclub.com. In that e-mail the following should be addressed:

  1. Image(s) you would like to use

  2. Where they will be displayed

  3. How they will be displayed

  4. Intent of its display

  5. Duration of their public viewing

  6. Any other information you feel would be useful


Any commercial use of photographs without prior consent is a violation of International copyright law.

V. Copyright Protection Tactics

In attempts to maintain the integrity of the copyrighted photographs found on this site, several copyright protection methods have been utilised. Some of these tactics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Placement of watermarks

  2. Resizing of images

  3. Conversion of images to low resolution for web use


IV. Copyright Infringement is Serious

The act of infringing on a copyright is a very serious business and is punishable by fines and/or imprisonment.

. Original artworks made by the children during our sessions are for them to keep providing payment as been received.

. All artistic works (artworks, art projects) on this website are protected by the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act1988, the principal legislation covering intellectual property rights in the United Kingdom and the work to which it applies.
